Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a student?
Tap the "+" button on the Students tab, enter the student's name and grade, then add IEP targets using the Goals Catalog or by writing a custom goal.
What is the Today Queue?
The Today Queue shows which students have targets that are due for a progress entry today, so you never miss a logging session.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone and select SPED Goals to cancel. Your premium access continues until the end of the billing period. Cancelling does not delete your account or data.
Can I export student data?
Yes. Open a student's detail screen and tap "Export" to generate a PDF progress report you can share or print.
Is my students' data private?
Yes. Student records are stored in your account only, encrypted in transit, and protected by Firestore security rules. We never access or sell your student data. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → My Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data, including student records, within 30 days. See the Account Deletion section below for exactly what is and is not deleted.
The app is crashing — what should I do?
Force-close and reopen the app. If the issue persists, please email us at the address below with your iOS version and a description of what happened.
What's the difference between free and premium?
The free tier supports up to 20 students with unlimited IEP targets and progress logging, the home screen widget, and caseload groups. Premium unlocks unlimited students, Smart Summary (AI weekly overview), student risk scoring, AI narrative reports, PDF export, the calendar view, the Today Queue, and weekly digest push notifications.
I previously purchased SPED Goals as a paid app — do I get premium?
Yes. Legacy paid-app purchasers qualify for lifetime premium access. Contact us at the email below with proof of purchase and we will restore your access.
Deleting Your Account
You can permanently delete your SPED Goals account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Deletion is irreversible.
How to delete your account (in-app):
- Open SPED Goals on your iPhone.
- Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
- Tap My Account.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Can’t access the app? Email hello@mohsulthana.com with subject line “Account Deletion Request” and your registered email address. We will process your request within 5 business days.
What is permanently deleted (within 30 days of request):
- Your teacher account record (email address, display name)
- All student records you created
- All IEP targets and progress logs
- Your subscription status record in our database
What is NOT deleted by this action:
- Your Apple subscription — cancel it separately via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → SPED Goals before or after deleting your account.
- Shopify order history — retained by Shopify, Inc. per their data retention and legal obligations.
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics data (contains no personal information).
